Please join me in congratulating Mark Harrison, who is the recipient of the 2009 Arthur L. Day Medal of the Geological Society of America. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to geologic knowledge through application of physics and chemistry to geologic problems. It is GSA's highest honor in geophysics and geochemistry.
