Basing themselves on mathematical modeling and electric field measurements, scientists are closer to conclusive proof that Saturn’s moon Titan has an underground ocean. These findings rely partially on data gathered by the Cassini spacecraft that has flown past Titan several times since 2006. Titan is molded by Saturn’s gravity in such a way as to support the idea of underground water. ESS Associate Professor Jean-Luc Margot is quoted in the piece by Associated Press.
