The Symposium is a one-day event held at UCLA which graduate and advanced undergraduate students in various disciplines present their research related to the Earth and space sciences. The event will encompass many fields and interdisciplinary studies, including paleobiology, geology, geophysics, seismology, geochemistry, environmental science, climate science, planetary science, and space physics.
There will be several oral sessions and poster sessions for showcasing of student work. Faculty judges will evaluate all presentations and assign cash prizes to the top three oral and poster presentations.
The Symposium will be held Friday, 27 April 2012 at the UCLA Geology Building.Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for registered student attendees and speakers. Further information will be sent out to registered attendees and speakers later.
