EPSS Professor Amy Mainzer Named 2025 Fellow of the American Astronomical Society

We are proud to announce EPSS Professor Amy Mainzer has been named a 2025 Fellow of the American Astronomical Society. This major international organization of astronomers selected 24 members as AAS Fellows, an honor granted to less than 0.5% of its membership annually. This distinction recognizes extraordinary contributions to research, innovation in techniques and instrumentation, education and outreach, and dedicated service to astronomy and the Society.

Prof. Mainzer was honored for her contributions to astrophysical instrumentation, infrared astronomy, and small-body science, exemplified by her scientific leadership for the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer and service as principal investigator for the NEOWISE project, as well as her commitment to community service and public outreach.
