Professor Christopher T. Russell: A Celebration of a Life in Science
May 8th and 9th, 2013, UCLA
This gathering is an opportunity for friends, colleagues, students, and former students to celebrate and recognize the life and career of Professor Christopher T. Russell, on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Invited presentations will include retrospectives of personal collaborations with Prof. Russell, scientific topics of interest to Prof. Russell, discussions of ongoing and future research areas facilitated by Prof. Russell, and personal remembrances of Prof. Russell’s mentorship.
The program will consist of 1.5 days of presentations on Wednesday, May 8th, all day, in Royce 314 (it is best to use the Royce entrance to the left of the large main doors, i.e. west entrance. The elevator and stairs just beyond that door go straight up to our room) and Thursday, May 9th, in the morning, in Young 2033. View the symposium schedule.
The celebration is supported by the Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences Department and several of Prof. Russell’s colleagues.
